Damers First School

A very warm welcome to Damers School!   Our beautiful school is firmly founded on strong relationships and our relentless determination to ‘find the learner’ within every single child, whatever their starting point, keeping our children at the heart of absolutely everything that we do.  We are a large school but we make sure our school has a real family feel where everyone matters to us. 

Our school is a vibrant place in which to learn, work and play. Our ethos is probably best summarised through our logo, the Damers butterfly symbolising our aspiration for each and every child to “fly” during their time at and beyond Damers.   

Our vision ‘Brave, unique, caring and kind’ greets visitors as they enter the school.  It is an expectation for all that permeates all aspects of school life.  Children know that we live this out as we all learn together with our six values: Respect, kindness, equality, courage, resilience and honesty which form the bedrock of Damers.  

 I feel very privileged to lead what is a dedicated and committed team who make things happen for each child; collaborating with colleagues within a growing, values-based multi-academy trust. We work together to do our best for all children in our school.
